We stumbled across these VW’s in a repair shop parking lot one weekend. I had considered passing on this shot, however what caught my interest was what looks to be a Bus, is actually the truck version and it was a mess.
Once I was back in the studio and reviewing the photo’s I had a hard time trying to figure out how I wanted to present it, then it came to me, the Psychedelic Hippie movement look.
I brought the owner, who was an older gentleman and most likely was touched by that era, a large poster board copy of the print. His expression and thankful gratitude feed my energy for a week.
